Routh, PhD as well as many members of the Society of Pediatric Psychology. This award was previously known as the Rebecca Routh Coon Injury Prevention Grant in honor of the Routh’s daughter who was killed in a motor vehicle accident in 1988; however, in 2002, again thanks to the Routh’s compassion and generosity, the award was re-named in honor of pediatric psychologist, Lizette Peterson-Homer, PhD (well known for her research on injury prevention), who died after a battle with cancer.
