SPP Student Representative for Division 54 (2007 – 2009)
Institution: University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, Clinical Psychology Program
Primary Mentor: W. Hobart Davies, PhD

Research & Clinical Interests: My primary research interests in pediatric psychology are related to youth’s experiences with chronic pain. This includes pain-related quality of life, the relationship between pain experiences and the family environment, and treatment of chronic pain, including telehealth delivery of interventions. Currently, I am working on a randomized controlled pilot study comparing manualized cognitive-behavioral therapy for recurrent abdominal pain. In addition to pediatric chronic pain, my clinical focus this year is in the hematology/oncology/BMT program at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. My involvement in other past and current research projects includes areas such as celiac disease, type I diabetes, childhood feeding disorders, and school refusal. It is an honor to serve as the SPP Student Representative, and I look forward to collaborating with members of the Student Advisory Board and SPP student membership. Please feel free to email me with your ideas, questions, or comments!
